Archeological
in Iraq
The British archeologist Robert Killick started an archeological digs in
Iraq in 1978. More than 50 pottery vessels were found in the archeological digs
in “Jabal Hamrin” back to 2300 BC in eastern Iraq. Robert did not find any
human skeleton, that’s led him to detect for them and to start a detective
mode. Robert mentioned that Iraq is the mother of all civilizations and the
picked site was a small sample only. Robert was looking for more than that
site.
The archeological investigations and digs in Iraq stopped for more than
20 years due to the Gulf Wars. A new target site was picked after passing more
than 20 years; “Tell Khaiber” in southern Iraq. This site has a civilization of
more than 5000 years ago. The archeological investigations in the sites is
funded by the companies which have business in Iraq. The project is to relive
the history of Iraq civilizations and tells more about this huge mystery. This
project is a new relationship between Iraq and British.
